Beautiful landscapes can do more than look finished.
Organix Landscapes is a Guthrie-based design and build company creating outdoor spaces that combine appearance with useful function—from planting and productive gardens to water management and site improvements.
Beauty + Purpose
A landscape can be attractive first and still produce food, support habitat, manage water or make the property easier to use.
Where Organix Came From
A family interest in food and gardening became a different way to think about landscaping.
Organix started with a simple idea close to home: the landscape around a family can be more than decoration. It can create a connection to food, seasons, wildlife and the land itself while still looking intentional and well cared for.
That idea grew into the company’s broader approach. A front bed can support pollinators. A drainage solution can become a landscape feature. A vegetable garden can feel permanent and polished. Native and adapted plants can reduce unnecessary inputs while adding structure, texture and seasonal interest.
The result is not one rigid landscape style. Organix sits between conventional landscape construction and ecological gardening, using the parts of each that make the property work better.
What Guides the Work
Practical principles, not a one-size-fits-all aesthetic.
The best solution depends on the site, the client and what the property needs to accomplish. These principles stay consistent even when the finished landscapes look very different.
Function adds value.
Food production, habitat, drainage, screening, shade and lower-input planting can make good design work harder.
Work with the site.
Sun, soil, water movement, access and maintenance reality should shape the plan instead of forcing a template.
Build for maturity.
Plants and materials should continue making sense after installation day as the landscape fills in and changes.
Regenerative Where It Helps
Improve the living system beneath the finished landscape.
Regenerative does not mean every property has to look wild or unconventional. It means using practices that help soil, plants and water systems become healthier and more resilient when they fit the project.
Soil first
Use compost, organic amendments and mulch where appropriate to improve the growing environment rather than treating soil as an afterthought.
Diverse planting
Blend ornamental, native, edible and pollinator-supporting plants when they serve the design and site conditions.
Thoughtful water
Pay attention to runoff, drainage and irrigation so water is moved, slowed or absorbed more intentionally.
Reduce unnecessary inputs
Favor durable plant choices and healthier systems that can reduce dependence on recurring chemical or corrective inputs over time.
